Commuting Calculator

You can figure out how much it costs you to dirve to work (for the month/year) on this site.

http://www.mercedrides.com/Rideshare/costs.htm

Right now it is only $11.08 a month to go to work.

When I commute to school in the fall it will be $169.09 a month. (stupid tolls)

I don't really like breaking down cost of trips to much. It is one reason why I don't bike to work right now. The other reason is 7am is REALLY early. If it only costs $0.52 to drive to work and back why would I bike?

$169 a month???? Holy crap! How far away is that school and how much are those tolls???

I have all of my costs and mileage broken down in an Excel sheet so I already know my monthly driving tally is $52.86 a month since I bought the Metro...exactly 9 months ago I just realized (Sept. 19, 2005).

That's a cool calculator.

It says I spend $93.78 a month on my commute.

I guess that's not too bad, since I don't have a car payment and my insurance is really cheap.

I can't imagine seeing the total cost with gas, car payment, and insurance if I were to drive a newer more expensive car that got worse gas mileage.

Around 60 miles round trip. 3.50 a day in tolls (around $70 a month).
