I was looking through Edmunds and saw that Saab and Subaru are designing new powertrains for their cars. Saab is building a new hybrid that could run on pure ethanol putting out ~0 emmissions. Subaru is looking to put a diesel engine in their cars, possibly with a hybrid system in the future.
