Good point, however I don't usually let it idle. It is usually either running in gear or engine off coasting.

I will wait and see what kind of readings I get from the onboard computer that should be atleast somewhat set up this week sometime.

Just curious, my car is (on the title) an SSL. I assume this means it is the SL1. I thought it was kind of odd. Did the change the name from SL1 to SL at some point down the road?
how much power does the saturn have?

I am pretty sure it's the throttle body. It may be an early or late version, I don't know. Here it is on my DOHC :

This puts it close to the firewall on my DOHC, very hard to get at.

Also, here's a closeup picture :

Does the TPS on my car have 3 wires?...

For my DOHC, just follow the air intake tube until you reach the throttle body, and look between the throttle body and the firewall. It's hiding back there.

MY sohc has 100hp. Cfg83 has a dohc which is 126ish hp. So, not much. Look on the bright side I can do 0-60 in ten seconds. No 3 cyl metro can touch me. LOL.

CFG thanks for the pics I think I can find it now. The first pic had me lost. I haven't spent much time under the hood of this car. I've spent more time under it trying to find and replace the oil filter.

I should have mentioned that when I say it has excess power, that is coming from driving a 2 ton vehicle with a 140 horsepower engine.

The early single cam engines have throttle body injection and only put out 84 or 85hp. Then when they went to mpfi the hp jumped to 100.
