Back in the top ten again for over EPA. I Have a dedicated ride now so I plan on crawling my way to the top aka Basjoos style as I work my way through the problems. Now If only I can find a block heater.

Nice!

I noticed the new car added to your garage. Free is always good, particularly when the previous owner got the it wrong on the repair diagnosis!

I had a free car once: a 1979 AMC Spirit. Man, what a pile of crud that was. I think you did better

Yea it's the 160 hp version. It's in good shape for a 12 year old car. I need to find a block heater it takes for every for the temps to come up. I thought that the thermostat was broke but it checked out ok. I called the dealer for one and he said he did not have one and that he could not get one. I suck at searching, looked on e-bay and found only one that was the radiator hose type.

Metro I love the Spirit looks. It looks like it would be a good FE platform.

Took a page out of SVOboy playbook the king of comp. Long story short the owner was told that the repairs would be more than the car was worth and didn't want to throw good money after bad. They got another car and said it was mine if I would come get it. So I did.

top ten must be good. I have long dreamed of being in the top ten. But I am stuck at #18 right now.

Sounds like an iron block alright. I found I couldn't get a regular block heater so I'll be getting the coolant circulating kind too. Be wary of the timing belt on that vg30. It has a 5yr/60k service interval. It is an INTERFERENCE engine. Enjoy the car
