I'll go ahead and confirm. We'll use the Beater (Sedan, 5-spd) just because I drive it way more often.

Confirmed!

I drive a Honda Element, 2wd, 5-speed. Its gaslog is up to date. My current estimated mileage on this tank is 26.5 mph (No ScanGauge).

I am not north of any lines, except I-10... :-)

What else do you need from me? Thanks for being Captain! I think you get to choose the name since you stepped up. Just tell me what Bananerna means...

It's plural for banana But, I'm thinking leftovers - and then we'll graduate to something else later

We have one snag though.... the rules require that at least two members be North of the Mason Dixon line... Right now, we only have 1 person....

I can pull out of the group if someone north of the Mason Dixon comes up - I'll wait with LX Mike to join a group if need be.

Well, North Carolina isn't THAT far south of the line. :-)

Could we maybe compete, but exclude ourselves from the valuable prizes should we accidentally win?

Well I am in southern Idaho and I ought to join one of these teams. I have a 4-door 5-speed, 2001 Saturn. Life seems pretty busy but this would motivate me to do a few more things to the car.

Whoa... there's prizes? I totally wasn't aware of that... But in any case, I'm cool with that - if the rest of the team and the boss peoples agree

On a somewhat related note (to prizes).... A website I frequent is having a project contest - the grand prize being a laser cutter (worth nearly $6K)... I just found out I'm not eligible because I'll be working as an intern for them in a few weeks It makes me a little sad -- but I get to work in a fab lab this summer!

Want to win that there laser cutter? http://www.instructables.com/id/E1DESIMF0H63N2Z/
