Anyone in Western Washington interested in getting together?

I'm in Lacey. Let's get together over a cup of coffee.

Shoot I was just down there yesterday visiting my sister. I just started hypermilling this month. I'll live just north of Redmond. I'll shoot you a message next time I head down, or let me know if you are ever in the Redmond area. I would be nice to meet a fellow gassaver!.....

Michael, I look forward to talking with you. I'll let you know when I head up North again. I was just up there a few weeks ago for the plug-in hybrid conference at Microsolft.

Hi gang...Bill from Monroe.

Miwolf...My wife works in Redmond & sometimes I'm around Redmond. How far north are you from Redmond?

Graeme... A hybrid conference! I'm not interested in hybrids, but am very interested electric vehicles. I heard there is a fellow in Woodinville that makes electric engine make overs. But I mislaid his phone #. I've got a Ford Festiva, but the engine is sweet & I wouldn't want to convert it to electric yet.

Hello! The Discovery Institute Plug-in Hybrid conference was interesting. PHEVs are the most probable bridge between gas/diesel and electric vehicles. They overcome some of the issues with EVs in terms of range. The Seattle Electric Vehicle Association (SEVA) has members with conversion experience.Having said that, I'm interested in improving the FE for my xB.

DoubleJ, hi neighbor. I was just in Shelton on Friday to visit my mother-in-law.

City of Lacey has an Alternative Fuel Fair the first Saturday in May each year. Been doing it the last ten years. We've never showcased gas-only cars, but I think it might be fun to include Hypermilers in the 2008 event. We could have a special section where FE folks could show their vehicles and talk about how they achieve such good FE.

Let me know if there'd be interest in the region. I can make it happen.

A little late to this thread but I'd like to help get things together to plan a showing for this next fair. Also it would be great to have a rally like the Craig Vetter rally in the '80s http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/470...37;20Main.html to augment our showing.

I know the second year we do this with prices the way we're seeing it will generate significant interest.

The Alternative Energy Fair group gave a tentative green light to Beatr911's suggestion. Now we just need to wrestle with the details.
