Lived in Berkeley, then The City on 43rd and Geary from 99 to 2003, Julie and I plan to come back in June of 2010 and were looking at the North Bay area, Napa-ish. Glad to see so many of you in the Bay Area, can't wait to move back from Baltimore.

Four of us Bay Area hypermilers from the Ecomodder site are actually meeting this week, rain or not. I'm going to pile all of us into my xB, and show them all how P&G improves mileage about 15 mpg over steady-state cruise control.

If any of you Gassavers folks want to get together, maybe we can schedule something in February.

Three of us have gotten together twice in the Fairfield-Cordelia area. We all lurk here, on cleanmpg, and ecomodder. First time we compared mods and rode in two of our cars, discussing techniques and mods. Second time we experimented with AT driving with a Scangauge. We had dinner during both meets.

Well, after toying with moving back to the Bay Area, I'll likely never live there again, though with my brother living in the City, I'll be visiting with a rental car It would be great to have a meet if/when I visit. I am not hardcore, but beat the EPA and so consider myself better than probably 99% out there (really need to update my logs, averaging 36,1mpg in an '00 Echo AT since the beginning of the year, about 39mpg over the last two weeks). Does that make me the 1%?

Depending on the day , I'm in for another get-together. It was fun and I learned a lot from SentraSE-R ( Darrell). I encourage other Bay Area/ Norcal hypermilers to attend if we organize some more.
