Another mileage contest

I'm going on a long hunting trip to northern Maine tomorrow in my F350. I just gassed up, and paid $3.39/gallon for diesel! OUCH!

As before, I'll mail a $10 check to the person who guesses my average mileage most closely.

Hints: Cold weather makes my mileage suck; the trip will consist of about 700 miles of interstate and 500 miles of unpaved 4x4 driving; 235 85 R16 tires (replacing OEM 265 75 R16); grille block, and plywood tonneau cover.

Ok...

I will put a guess in at 18.2 mpg for your trip!

Sludgey, what speed do you expect for the majority of this unpaved 4x4 and how flat is it?

The roads are logging roads. You can do about 50 mph when they're dry, and 40 mph if they're muddy or snowy. Given the time of year, I'd guess them to be packed snow and ice at least in parts.

Since I won this contest last time, I'll bow out for this one and give others a chance. Good luck to all contestants, Sludgy is awesome!
