My intake manifold gasket came in today. I am cutting it close as I plan to road test my "little" engine tomorrow afternoon. Not much time to tune it.

I am really looking forward to meeting you guys and competing as well.

Cheers,

Mike

I had to take a picture of the shiny header paint now, because as soon as I start the engine, well you know what happens after that.

The 1608cc engine comes out, the 1397cc engine goes in....

Here's where I am this morning. Tomorrow is road test and tune day.

In the past I've never liked the non crossflow type cylinder head arrangement on these engines because the exhaust heats up the intake manifold and costs power. But for fuel efficiency, it's perfect.

Will do! My helmet's already in the back seat of my B210 so I can't forget it.

A little followup would be nice right? This event was a big success and full results for are HERE.

How did the Datsun do after all of that work?

Very well thanks. It got 61.53 mpg.
