78 mpg

I am having my twin turbo 3000gt built in Victorville, which is 78 miles from where I live. I got 51.4 mpg on a previous up and back trip. Today when I went there I filled up in Victorville because I wanted to see how much fuel I used on the return trip. Its up and over the Cajon pass going there which is all up hill. I gave it my best effort coming back which is all down hill. Lots of EOC, some drafting, lots of fun. 78 miles when I stopped in Downey to fill up. When I fill up its all the way up to the gas cap. It stopped at .446 gallons, so I click my way up to 1 gallon which was to the top of the filler tube. Which means I use about two gallons going there and about 1 gallon coming back. Just love my 95 Mazda LX.
