601.5 miles on 18.2 gallons, HURRAY!!

that equals 33 mpg out of my Colorado!!

2/3 of that tank of gas was mixed city/highway driving.

At the end of my highway trip, I found that half of my grill block came off!! This would explain why Scan Gauge was showing a max of 32 mpg on the highway.

I'm heading back home tomorrow so I am redoing my grill block to see how close to 40 mpg I can get.

Great stuff. I am searching through your posts to try to figure out your driving style. Are you using pulse and glide with your stickshift?

EDIT : 4,400 lbs curb weight + 33 MPG!

Just imagine what you can do with a smaller car, like the Yaris!

This was with no P&G. Primarily, I am keeping the speed around 55-60 mph on the highway. I accelerate down slight declines in the road and I coast down steep declines. I've got everything I need for a fuel injector switch but I've not installed it yet. I keep the driver side window rolled down slightly, A/C off, radio off, and in general just take it real easy.

91CavGT, great job! I'm wanting some freeway time. Spent all this week driving around town, in traffic and with AC on. Terrible FE! This tank IS going to be better.

Wow, then I think you're establishing a great baseline. I think the FI cutoff will give you a big boost (that's on my ever expanding to-do list).
