The National MicroCar meet was held this year at the
Bruce Weiner MicroCar Museum in Madison, GA - about 100 miles east of me. I spent all day Friday and Saturday at the meet and saw some spectacular cars and met some even more spectacular owners. The featured vehicles this year were Cushman Scooters and King Midgets. Awards were given to the first person to register, the furthest distance driven (in a microcar) and people's choice awards for best Cushman, best Midget, and best microcar. My Honda Beat took 3rd as best microcar - I was so pleased.
Some of you may know I have been considering selling the Beat. I actually sold it this weekend to Jeff Lane - owner of the
Lane Motor Museum. He is going to put the Beat in his museum! All in all it was a great weekend.
