2000 Mazda Protege - First MPG calc.

I know this is preliminary data but after all the maintenance I put into the used 2000 Mazda Protege I bought my first fill up yielded 38 mpg.

I had to double check my numbers because I'm not use to that high of fuel efficiency.

That was with minimal hypermiling.

Right now I'm going to attribute it to the polish and wax job my son put on it.

check out my gas log. My 95 is a 5 speed. A clean car will get better mpg.
