1995 Civic DX Auto to VX Manual Questions

I have a 1995 DX Hatch automatic that I am swapping in a D15Bz1 vtec-e 5 speed (for fuel effieciency).

I already have the P07 ecu purchased, but I am curious what to do about the wire harness. Has anyone swapped one of these engines into a DX? I know so far that I will need to wire in the vtec solenoid, 5 wire 02, and 5 speed conversion, is there anything else? Does the VX have a different EGR setup than the DX?

Would it be easier to find a vtec harness 5 speed for the engine and wire it to the ecu?

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks
Dave

Keep us up to date with your swap. Ideally we would LOVE to see you do a DIY report with loads of pictures which will make it so much easire for the next person that wants to swap a VX engine in his hatch! You could just start a thread there and post all the updates with images which would already largely make a DIY.

I am planning on starting that shortly, I just went to the bone yard yesterday and got all of my pedals and clutch cylinder lines.

The wire harness is what I am unsure what to do with, as well as the EGR control box. I can't seem to find one.

Has anyone used a DX harness and then rewired at the ecu? Or should I get a EX or other SOHC VTEC harness?

Thanks, I will try that link. I am toying with buying a shell and taking the wire harness off of it.
