the new guy

hey. my name is morgan. i live in va. ive got a 88 civic hatch(The Hatch in the garage). i get around 35mpg and im trying to improve that. the hardest thing to improve is my driving style. i like to take the car to redline while getting onto the highway and on the country backroads. but since my job requires me to drive all over va, i have to learn to change that. i look foward to learning new ways of improving mpgs from this site.

Welcome to GS! I wish they made a scangauge for your car. The feedback would make it into an MPG game for you.

Based on your car mods, I think you would be partial to those gizmos that allow you to modify the fuel map. Check out this car :

http://www.gassavers.org/garage/view/207

It has an Apex SAFC fuel controller.

I read this in your garage :

"-Dpfi>mpfi, obd0>obd1, vtec rywire conversion harness"

Others can answer this, but does this mean that you are compatible with other aftermarket MPG monitors?

Love that Civic hatch. That's my favorite generation of Civic.
