Radios and A/C? anyone who can answer?

I think my radio was the middle low end Pioneer with a CD player, with my radio set to NPR I moved to volume nob from where I could hardly hear it to about as loud as I could stand it and the power it used ranged from 7 watts up to 50 watts, I didn't check it with the CD player running.
