G’day all,
Shane here from Australia, quick question, about to head off on a big road trip and just wondering wether first time using you just fill up and take odometer reading without taking note of fuel input, especially given it will be a minimal top up.
Thanks in advance 😊

Do you plan to go by trip miles or odometer reading? In either case, just enter miles and fuel, and Fuelly will do the rest.

Thanks Jay, I’m really just wanting to keep track of Litres per Hundred Kilometres at this stage.
Appreciate your input greatly

The way I do it is I just enter the data i get from the odometer and fuel receipt. Since my car has a fuel tank capacity of 14.8 gallons I consider any fuel ups less 13 gallons or so a partial. You may choose a different near empty capacity than me. For me sometimes its more convenient and efficient to fill up if the price is right and sometimes I drive till the light in the car comes on and tells me its low on fuel and then I go to my local gas station.
