Hey all,

Just wanted to get in the loop on all these fuel saving tips. I bought a CRX last year to save money on my daily commute. My "spirited" driving style was yielding me about 29mpg overall. I recently adopted a more "FE" driving style which instantly brought this average up to 37mpg. That saves me about $45 per month at the pump. I'm still looking for more, but my short ration gearbox and wider-than-stock tires aren't helping much. We'll see how this develops...

-Will

Welcome, glad to have another member that experiences the L.A. traffic. Keep with it and your mpg will improve.

Welcome, post up some pictures of your new car!

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you come across your car? I've been looking on craigslist but nearly everything is riced out...

Yeah, it's agonizing to shop for a Honda that hasn't been screwed up. My friend found this car on craigslist and forwarded it to me. I was elated to find a stock CRX with a clean interior and an unmodified engine with only 105k miles on it, so I jumped on the opportunity.

Good luck with your search, mad pup. A VX without the dreaded "B18 swap" feature will turn up for you eventually.
