Thanks for the info guys. yes I will definitely consider a CX hatch if the price is right. the VX hatches are hard to find unmolested. I seen a bunch of CX and VX hatches, but they all have body kits or different engines, or crazy paint jobs and interiors. its a shame what they have done to these great fuel efficient cars.

1994 Civic DX gets good gas mileage. Driving for FE, I drove 500 miles in mixed driving and averaged 52.5mpg Old EPA is 42/46. I think all civics from 1992-1995 were basically the same, so other Civic models in that range should be similar (including the del sol). (same years the VX, CX hatches were made) Just make sure it's 1.5 liters and not 1.6.

Car mods are overrated. Just gotta adjust that nut behind the wheel for best mpg.

Thanks Carlos... I've always had an odd attraction to them.

As others have said on this site, they were called the new CRX in other countries. But, without the hatch, I don't think it is a CRX "in spirit". I have been thinking it would be cool to try to modify one to have a hatch.

There was one version I wanted to get, but I didn't wait in line long enough at the Mann's Chinese theatre :

The R2-D2 option would have been magnificent, because I could use him as a trip computer/fuel trim controller.

Haha, sweet pictures man. The del sol has crappy drag so it's not ideal, but it's not awful either and can accept all the vx stuff.

.36 or .37 or .38 is what I think it is. Dan had it known at one point but I forget now.

Isn't the gas mileage for the Civic DX hatch only in the mid to high 30's.
