Talking new member

Sorry I have not introduced myself yet, I have been busy modifing my car with alot of great ideas from this site.
I saw the msn article and I knew right away this was for me.
I drive 150 miles a day (98 subaru outback) and I really needed ideas to help me get the most out of a tank of gas.
So far things have been great. I went from 29mpg avg to 36.18 in my first week.

Yes Welcome !! Post a gas log and list the mods you've done please ? A Subie Outback is a sweet lil hauler .

I drive half of that per day and hate it ...sheeeeece!
Before I moved to southern part of the state my car was lucky to even make it to operating temp and was lucky to get 19 mpg with my Ford SHO ...then I bought a bike and moved 35 miles !! Timing ! Its all in the timing...

Honestly proper tire pressure and sensible driving (with a few tweaks) was worth @ 5-6 mpg in my case I can definitely see others having the same luck .

so far I have put plexiglass over the inset fog lights.change tire psi to 45. Removed weight from inside car. Blocked grill and hood scoup. But most of all I have changed my driving habits, ie coasting when possible and drafting semi's.
