New member /2007 Prius

I have had my new Prius for about 2 weeks and have gone into max mpg mode. I have read has many web sites blog and ideas that I can. I know better than trying any of those instant up my gas milage in a bottle tricks. But, I have removed as much extra weight has I know how. I am getting about 60mpg right now but, I know that I can do better. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

I was think about adding a air dam to the front of the car to see if I could keep some of the air from under the car. Any thoughts?

mostly city. Nothing above 45mph for 25 miles. I stay off the interstate.

Search for "pulse and glide." It works wonders for hybrids.

Oh and welcome

Do you think that lowering the front air dam a couple inches would help?

I don't think it would help much since you never see anything abouve 45 mph. Best best is tire pressure, picking the best routes(which it looks like you do) and driving techniques. 60 MPG is outstanding for two weeks with the car. Give it time you'll get better and better.

I am one of those people that always wants more. And I know I can build or do anything that it takes to get it done. I am a MPG addict.

Sorry to hear that. Here's a good place to start and I'm sure others will chime in. Go luck with the MPG's
