Was just saying, as far as aero goes, to ditch the scoop and put a front mount on is a win win. I know what's involved, my friend's '04 STi is pretty worked over and I've been under the hood a time or two.


....silly Subaru guys and their "hood strut mod" kills me everytime I see it. hehe

Yea I hate those struts. I have the hood prop still. My hood can go completely vertical. Those struts make it lower then when it's on the hood prop.


Just bought my wife an 06 civic EX and I'll be driving her 01 focus zts probably every other day so 35mpg here I come!

Have you considered swapping out the stock turbo for one with a little more lag? Maybe one that doesn't have full spool until 3800 rpm? I don't know enough about turbos yet.
If you dial down the boost would that help your FE?

It's pretty easy to stay out of boost.
