new guy here!

hello everyone, my name is nate sanders, i have been in the U.S.A.F. for about 9 years and i am a heavy equipment mechanic. i am currently stationed at nellis afb, nv and commute 100 miles a day to and from creech afb (mon-fri). i am originally from ringgold georgia (northwest GA), and when i am typing i dont usually use punctuation(except for periods or commas) or caps.lol.. i have a 2000 civic lx automatic(the wifes decision) that i am going to pick up in las angeles soon (its been in storage for 3 years since i have been in japan), and i cant wait to get back in it!! i have always been into hot rodding, but as of late i have gotten neck deep into alternative power/fuel sources and my interest in high hp has been waning. ultimately i want to build a diesel electric car for my next project and use a set up similar to diesel electric locomotives. if anyone has any info for me straight away i would appreciate it. i know how forums work and i will extensively search before posting a question. i might be idle for quite a while as i research ideas to make my gas burner more efficient until i can start my own project!

glad to be here!!!

nate sanders

thanks, thats really nice of you to say! hey, speaking of alternative energy, theres a giant photovoltaic panel array on the base that produces about 1/3 of energy needed on nellis afb, its called solar star nafb.
