Are there anyways I could screw up the job? If I do it myself and screw it up my mechanic will never talk to me again. Also, what size socket do I need?

the only wrench I have that will fit the o2 sensor nut is an adjustable wrench. I sprayed it with PB Blaster, so we'll see if I can loosen it tomorrow. Was it pretty hard to loosen yours?

Go pick up an 02 sensor socket for 8 bucks at the auto store.

Drive the car on the highway in lean burn for about 30 minutes. Take off the heat shield from the manifold before you go on that trip though. When you pull into the driveway, pop the hood, grab your wrench and then give her hell, and she'll turn like she was soaking in lard! BTW, a 7/8th open ended wrench will work as well, or a 22mm or 23mm wrench.
