n00b here.

hello everyone. i am on a few other (saturn) forums and decided to join in here. I drive a 1995 saturn SL1. It is an excellent car for fuel economy, it has a sohc and is the first year for multi port fuel injection for saturn's sohc. The car weighs 2300 lbs with a quarter tank of fuel and a full interior.

So far i have gotten 40-45 mpg on trips (driving between 60-70mph)
I have done a few things to make the car more fun to drive, i have lowered it (and drastically increased the handling) with eibach springs. I also pulled out the automatic transmission (autos piss me off. lol) and put a manual trans in its place.

Fuel economy wise, i have done a full grille block as in this model, the rad is cooled by the airdam alone, the grille serves no functional purpose. temps have not increased, even in the 80f plus days here. I have done the experiment with duct tape. I am going to glass over it eventually.

I know of the other saturn on here, but i dont want anything like that. I want a car that is aerodynamically improved from stock, but is not overtly modified.

That avatar may be a bit over the top for this forum..

Just kidding! We are all pretty good sports here.

Welcome, and don't forget to start a gas log for your car.

Welcome aboard! I have a '94 SL2, and I'm not looking to go crazy either.
