sparkplugs changed 95k miles

Make sure they're the right ones. There are A B and C plugs, and each Insight is indexed for specific ones for each cylinder.

Thanks for the tip Pale.

I took a look at them today My Insight is marked for B plugs in all three cylinder I had A plugs, so I went to honda $16 a plug!!!! oh well bought expensive plugs (thank god its only 3) switched them out, I'll report back once I get more miles on them.

I also had my valves adjusted (I had it done by the shop) and I can tell the car runs much better! we'll see in a few days how much my MPG goes up.

even if your mpg doesnt go up, the car should feel more peppy.
