Jello and Flan !

We're all here because of gas. Though I disagree with somethings people meantion, the important thing we have in common is gas mileage.

I drive a yaris sedan. 5 speed.

So far as of November 21 of 07, I have about 1499 miles on the clock. Lol and I just got my yaris two weeks ago.

Haven't really kept track of my mpg, but I did with my last tank, I think I got about 45mpg. Well, what is 10.282 of 76 gas over 468.4 miles?? mainly highway.

I do hope to get a scanguage soon...

Take care folks,

Dave

ps...yes, that is Runing On Fumes.

And hello to you too, Neighbor!

...a funny thing...I don't really like either.

"jello" is a play on "hello" and what do does Bill Cosby hawk other than Jell-o but flan...well it's a stretch, work with me.

Welcome!

The Yaris is a love-or-hate car I think, and I'm on the hate end for the style, but if it can pull off decent MPG numbers, I'm all for it!

Wow, I never really though that much about those cars. Didn't even think they can get into the 40's mpg. I'm really impressed. What is the EPA rating for that car. I now have a new appreciation of those cars.

Didn't try too hard.

I mainly:

Stayed under 3k on the tach
Drove with no A/c *though I'm now sure I can turn it on every so often and still stay above 40mpg
Coasted when I could (engine still on. diference of 3 K at 65 and 900 at idle)
Tried to draft truckers, but lol they were a lot faster than my average on the highway which was about 60.

New Epa rating is 29/ 36 and 32 combined. *I think this is not too important. I noticed that the EPA has changed their scales for most cars because 2007 models were rated about 33/40 or something. Me thinks they changed the numbers to more match real people and their methods.
