Re: Hi from Nor Cal

Haha I'm constantly learning. Installed: radiator, upper hose, timing belt, water pump, and will be installing the lower front right mount.

Tomorrow I'm going on a little road trip down to elk grove. I have high expectations out of the current tank. I'm already past what I get out of my Si's tank, and the vx is around half a tank!

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

I got 47mpg's this last tank! It wasn't a complete tank about 280 miles on it, but I decided to fill up at the start of my highway jaunt to Elk Grove and then home.

I got home late unpacked the car and rushed to Transformers 3 so my mileage could be better, but i'm not ruling 50+ mpg's out of the current tank;-) I'll have pics of her all loaded up from todays shopping it was a bit heavy.

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

I seriously think I need to revamp my goals now! I would've been great with 40, but now I'm going to push myself to see where the limit is(mpg's wise). I have a very careful foot from tig welding, and always look as far ahead as possible. I also think driving the same dang road could be beneficial because I'm familiar with it(could probably drive it blindfolded no joke!)

This dang hatchback is so useful!
Look what all I packed in it yesterday.

It's trying to tuck those little 13's

Could fit a little more in there!

What all was in there

And the dc2 mirrors I haven't test fitted yet

Yup, driving the same route every day absolutely helps. I get my best fuel economy when I don't have to deviate from my daily route.

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

You're doing great. You can get 50 mpg tanks, and 60 mpg trips, on a regular basis.

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

I'm hoping to be taking a trip to Laguna Seca next weekend to watch my buddy race shifter karts with the best in the world! I'm stoked for him because I know he'll do awesome! It also means I get to do a road trip:-)

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

Tomorrow I'm headed to Laguna Seca! I got a few things done on the car today: changed oil in the engine and trans, cleaned the interior again(shampoo carpet, seats, etc).

I'm going to fill up after class and I'm hoping to break the 50 mpg mark on the current tank. Going to Laguna should yield great results. I will be the only person in the car, and won't have much with me so I should shave 300-400 pounds easily!

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

What? You didn't remove the seats and carpets? Yes, a 50 mpg tank should be easily reachable.

Re: Hi from Nor Cal

I removed the back seats, and replaced the front seats with some jdm ej1 seats. I haven't had enough time to rip out the dash, carpet all of that. I'm so excited for tomorrow!
