Hi from Canada!

Hey!! I recently got around to building a 88 honda civic "gassaver". I just finished installing a VX engine with the full obd1 conversion. I will post my gas mileage once I start driving it.

How much did you spend on the engine?

Welcome to GS! What does the rest of the Civic look like? A sedan or hatch?

This is a picture the previous owner sent me. I'll have to take some pictures tomorrow. I bought "new" carpet, seats, vx wheels, cluster, clock and steering wheel. I bought it for $200, and expect to have under a $1000 into it.

Woo-hoo! My favorite generation Civic Hatch. It's cool to see a VX engine transplant.

Looks great man! As long as the bugs are out of the motor, you should be getting some amazing mileage if you can stay out of vtec. Good luck with it and nice work on the swap.

edit:
Can you get us fellow gassavers.org users any type of discount on d15z1 motors?

Welcome,
I must say I like the 78 better. Nice job on both cars.

So when do you put the new conversion up for auction on this site?

I'm anxious to see the mpgs you'll get.
