Hi, another Paseo from Long Beach CA

I found some articles here really show us the way to the rest of the world. As I am working at the refinery as an engineer I have practical knowledge and experience about fuels. I drive a 96 Paseo since last October and having 40 mpg. I want to thank all those effort for posting tremendous infos and test results.

Hi koinos, welcome to the forum. Someone working on the "inside" of the oil industry will be an interesting addition to the group!

Hopefully you'll add your car & fuel consumption info to the garage.

Koinos -

Welcome!!!!! My mechanic was servicing a white Paseo the other day. It looked a bit tired, but it had 400,000 miles on it!!!!!!!

I think you're the first Paseo! I can't find one in the garage. I am eager to know how it performs FE wise. Is the drivetrain based on a same-era Corolla or ...????

a few years back I talked to a guy who had a greenish Toyota Paseo that he was claming 40+ mpg, he really liked it.

Toyota Paseo

Paseo has the same power train as Tercel !!!!
But Paseo has differenct transmission than Tercel. Toyota made it having more power than economy. My Paseo has 3000 rpm at only 60 mph. Once I thought about replacing tranny with Tercel's but I think it's not worth it, eventhough it is better for FE still it is not cost effective. I'm still considering changing the final gear if I can find a part. I'll post mine on the garage over the weekend.
