Hello! Import Question

Hello, I recently created an account here and was hoping to import my previous data, but unfortunately it seems to only allow a small number of fields. The biggest for me is brand. Why can't I upload the gas brand in my import? Is there a trick to getting that data into the system quickly? I hate to throw away that data.

Anyway, seems like this could be a useful product, but I'm hoping that there is a way to work around this import problem I'm having.

Thanks in advance!

We've only recently added additional fields to Fuelly.com's fill-up page. We probably need to tweak the importer to accomdate these extra (new) fields first. I'll get with our team to see if we can get that taken care of soon.

Where are you coming from (what app/program/etc) that you're trying to import?

That is awesome news! I am coming from the Android App "Driver Diary". It exports a csv just fine, and I can definitely follow the Fuelly format for import, but like I said there are just some columns not supported by the Fuelly import process yet. I don't like the idea of losing data, so if there is a way, either planned or available to import/export more information, I would absolutely love it!

Thanks for the fast response! I am getting more and more excited about Fuelly.

It's definitely on our to-do list. The additional fields are currently a work-in-progress. So as we get the importer updated, I'll let you know in this thread.

Brand has been added.

Let me know if you have any trouble with the import.

Wow! That was really fast! I think I have everything imported now! One other column that I think would be helpful in the future is the fuel_octane, but I just added it as a tag for now.

Thanks again for the really fast response! Looking forward to using Fuelly!
