Gee, a 9 year old diesel against 23 year old petrol, wonder which one pollutes more. The gasser might have been emitting more than diesel even when it was new simply to laxer regulations
This is a comparison of Euro 6 cars from an ICCT study. They all exceed the legal limits on the road, but the diesels emit magnitudes more than the petrol car.

Gas is too cheap to make selling hybrids easy. Prius sales have been dropping year over year for the past several years. I saw a 2018 Fusion hybrid listed for $9000 below MSRP. Like the Prius v, Toyota simply wasn't selling enough CT200h to keep offering them.
The new Corolla is going to be unveiled soon, and it is getting the most advance hybrid system from Toyota. Don't know if it is coming to the US yet.
