Red face Greetings from Northern VA

I just purchased a 2006 Chevy Impala LS, 173k miles, hoping to see what it will get as I go forward.
Any other Impala owners here?
Gas here in NOVA, Warrenton area goes for $2.19, but $1.86 if you travel 10 miles to Opal.
Weird eh
Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome! Hard to beat the gas prices in Opal... Generally I'm looking for Ethanol Free, so I'm not buying the cheapest available.

Welcome. Think yourself lucky. Cheapest I can get petrol is $6.46/gallon.
Okay, that is a UK gallon but that still equates to $5.51 for a US gallon. Our petrol is 5% Ethanol.

These prices are bound to get worst. Man, COVID-19 really took the economy to the dumps.

Prices are actually starting to drop as demand for fuel falls. UK fuel prices are mainly government taxes (fuel tax and value-added tax. VAT is actually charged on the fuel tax as well as the fuel cost), so the prices don't change by as much as the price of oil to the oil companies.

Hmm, I never thought of it that way. Might as well take another look at the recent prices.
