Good Honda Repair Shop in Phoenix Arizona area

Hello All,
Thanks for reading my post. I have a 95 Civic VX with 241,000K miles on it. I am searching for a good honest repair shop in the Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale area that does good work and has a knowledge of VXs. I used to go to Rick Halls Auto Doctor (Honda Dr), and then I started to go to Kelly Clark but, I have not been very satisfied. Does anyone have any suggestions. My car is running a bit rough, and would really like to get it up to speed, I am hoping to get over 350K out of in.
Thanks for your help,
Steve

A guy I know on another forum is in Mesa, his rates are $50 -$70 an hour depending on type of work, he doesn't overcharge on parts prices, and he's a solid no B.S. type.

To quote him..
Quote:
The address is 63 E. McKellips Rd. in Mesa 85201. It's located between Center St. and Mesa Dr. I'm renting one bay out of a quick lube. My overhead is really low so I don't have to soak everyone who walks through my door.
This is the place you're looking for...

Several forum members have gone to him and been very satisfied. Personally he's more of a front wheel drive Mopar enthusiast, but professionally, although not a "specialist" per se, I think he knows his way around hondas. Anyway he's a genuine "car guy" and not just in it for a job.

Don't have his phone number, probably the best way to find out if he's right for you is to drop by and shoot the crap.

Ah, checked in with him, A.J. does know his way around Hondas, got a few years of being the install tech for an import wrecker under his belt, so he know's 'em when they're older and crankier. Going to send you his phone number in a private message, he says you might need extra directions...

Road Warrior,
Thanks for your response. I really appreciate it. After looking at the pictures and the address, I know exactly where he is located as I take my dodge diesel truck to A-Z Diesel which is in that same complex :-)
