Two beeps of the horn for my Scion/Toyota brethern!

I just got home from a nice little vacation in South Dakota and my first chance for my car to stretch its legs. I am not pleased with the mpg as of right now but as I break in the engine I am sure it will get better. I don't even have 2000 miles on it yet.

The paint scheme on my avatar is what I would paint it to resemble if I was a little more of a risk taker. I will probably two tone it in a couple years, but it would either be with a dark metallic grey on the bottom half or a dark metallic green.

The comment about the ignition system is mainly because I haven't found a thing out there that is better than stock. Perhaps there is a reason for that.

@ AlexK - The Xa is not throttle by wire. I read somewhere that they added that in for the first time for this platform when they designed the Yaris. As far as I know the Echo, Xa, Xb, and Yaris all have the same/very similar drivetrain.

I added my car to the Garage. A couple pics of me the day it arrived and my mods I have done to it.

Love, Peace and Chicken Grease!

Technically it's a "Pontiyota", but who's counting? (Vibe twin is made in the same GM/Toyota joint plant in California where the Corolla/Prism once shared assembly lines) I just rented an xR automatic on a long trip and was very pleased with it. I'll do an official write-up later, but I was able to manage the low 30's with nearly all highway driving: great handling and seating, but the gearing seemed to be off and it shifted too much. I still consider it a good choice for FE and utility.

oh yeah... forgot about that. it's just so disappointing that the matrix is too heavy to achieve better gas mileage ... i might just give it up and ruin my credit.... yikes!

Just added my '97 Escort to the Garage and all of the past gas log entries from as far back as I care to type them.
