84 Grand Waggoneer to 98 S-10....

Just found the forum and hope to learn lots here, I just traded my beloved 84 Waggy for a 98 S10 to save some gas....

So far without doing any mods aside from cat, I am already getting almost 3 times the mileage (10 mpg --> 27 mpg).....

2.2 5 speed.....

I did put a KN airfilter and high flow cat (cat needed replacing) so far....

I will be watching here, so as to learn as much as possible regarding gas mileage hints....
My wife drives a 2005 Envoy and it does ok for what it is, considering it has the 291 hp I6 and 4 speed od tranny....
