"Family" configuration question given new sync ability

Is it possible with the new ability to sync data to multiple phones for multiple cars?

I am in essence wanting to have multiple cars under a single "Fuelly" account. I want the account to be available across multiple phones. I would rather not share the google account that the play app is associated with(Due to this buying multiple licenses is not a problem).

I am currently running 2 licenses on 2 different devices, but will soon add a 3rd license, but I want to migrate everything into a single "fuelly" account and have all vehicles(including some deprecated vehicles) in a single account available across all the families phones.

Question 1
Is there a way to tie a single car set to a single 'Fuelly account'?
Question 2
Can that 'fuelly' account be placed across multiple phones and sync data back properly?
Question 3
Does acar sync via a overwrite methodology or a merge methodology? This would be important to ensure that the multiple phones could sync without overwriting data that may have been synced from other phones previously.

Q1 - Yes - I have both of my cars on the same account
Q2 - Yes - my wife's phone and my phone sync fine. When I add info about my vehicle to my phone it syncs to my wife's and when she adds info on her phone it syncs to mine.

Q3 - I would think that the best way to achieve what you want would be to:

Make backups of all of your car data from each phone where they now reside.

Get all of the cars you want to track onto one one phone and up to date. Export them from the device they are on now and import them to the device you'll be using as the "base" device.

Sync that phone with your fuelly account.

When that phone and the web site are synced and working OK, add your additional phones by signing in with them to your fuelly account with the aCar app.

Some folks have lost data when getting this set up initially, so have complete and up to date backups saved separately from your devices.

I believe that the initial process when you add a new phone is overwrite. That's why I say get one device working than add the others.

I am not a developer of aCar or an employee of fuelly. If you want to get a quicker direct official answer in the aCar app use the Contact Support option in the menu that drops down from the 3 dots in the upper right corner when you first open the ACar app.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes I was kind of hoping for a dev reply. Jus for potential technical detail of answer. But that was not really needed.

Right now my phone battery blew up(yes it was a Samsung). That has delayed my migration plans a bit.

Thank you for the path going forward. I had planned to do something very similar but was trying to confirm either the true detail or other experiences with such a merge to a shared structure.

We just got a new phone for my wife and when I signed in to my fuelly account all of our data synced to aCar with no problems.
