aCar has decided it will no longer sync in the background

I don't know exactly when this started happening, but it is a constant source of irritation now. The app will show up in the notification shade, indicate that it's sync'ing, and then remain there indefinitely. Launching the app results in a warning banner stating how many days it has been since the last successful sync. Hitting the sync button on the app works every time, error goes away, and all is (seemingly) back to where it would be expected to be.

What gives?

Latest Android on Pixel 7 Pro with the June security updates installed (but this started happening quite a few months ago, so the patch level at the time would have been earlier / older).

Do you use Cloud sync?
Acar Settings

We might deal with a similar sync issue. My buddy took his truck for the mounting of the new Continentals and wheels along with new phone. The tires are bit bigger.

A) This whole post is about Cloud Sync being broken - no clue why you're asking if that's what is being used.

B) What do your "buddy's" tires have to do with anything?

Waiting for an update .....
Cloud Sync, broken in background, ok in app

If "aCar has decided it will no longer sync in the background" is true why isnt there an update being rolled out to stop it trying to do a background sync ?

It sounds like your app’s background sync is getting stuck or interrupted. This could be due to background app restrictions or battery optimization settings. Try checking if your app is allowed to run in the background without restrictions. Also, clearing the app cache or reinstalling might help resolve the sync issue.
