Why Multiple IOS apps
I am wondering if there is a current prefered IOS App. I see Gas Tracker+ and Gas Cubby, I am wondering why there are multiples? Is one planned to be phased out?
What is Fuelly.com's Official preferred IOS app if someone is a new user?
Thanks

Yes, we will be moving from 3 to one app in the not too distant future.
I am not sure if all users will need to download the "new" app or if it will update for one of the current app's group of users.

The new app is in development now. The function and appearance will be the same as Gas Cubby.
Go with Gas Cubby for now.

If we go into beta testing with the app, I'll be happy to add you.

I have the old fully app. If I switch to gas cubby how does all my info sync? I haven't been able to use the app on my iPhone for a year or so.

If you are talking about the old Fuelly web app that was just a mobile version of Fuelly (and your data is in Fuelly).
Download Gas Cubby, tap "Set Up Sync", login to your Fuelly account and the data will sync from Fuelly to Gas Cubby.

Here is some more background so you have a better perspective of what's going on.
A Fuelly user built an app called GasTracker that scraped our site and offered a native app experience. We bought that app from him and used it for our public "beta" app. Around the same time as we acquired Gas Tracker we also acquired Gas Cubby which is really two apps, a free version and paid (which was ad free). This was intended to be an acquisition of technology and users. After the acquisition we found out about some software architecture stuff that rendered the technology useless, we had to build the new app from scratch. So we built our new app and launched it via Gas Tracker. Once we felt it was ready we launched the new version for both Gas Cubby apps (paid and free).
So right now we have three apps but we plan to consolidate them into one app (free) with in-app subscriptions instead of different paid/free versions. This consolidation will likely start to happen in the next 6 months. Once we are done we will have one single app called Fuelly.
Sorry for the confusion. At this point you can use any of our apps and just make sure you have the sync enabled. Then you should have no issues when these changes come down the line.

I'm posting this in the gas cubby iOS forum because I recently switch from iPhone to Android. Please, please develop the gas cubby app for Android. The aCar app looks like something from Windows 3.1. Not trying to be rude, but the graphic interface of gas cubby is infinitely better than aCar. I can't stand the 20 year old retro graphics.
