upgrading from Gas Cubby Free to ad free version

I have been using Gas Cubby Free (version 2.5) on an old iPod for years. The newest version of the iOS the iPod can install is iOS 6.1.6 and it is up to date. I recently bought a new iPhone 6 and today I bought the ad free version of Gas Cubby for my iPhone. I would like to be able to do the following things but I am having problems. Any advice and/or information would be helpful.

1) Import the old data from my iPod into my iPhone. But I seem to have no way of doing that as I do not seem to be able to install the ad free version on my iPod without doing that I can't send the data. The new version of Gas Cubby which I bought from iTunes requires iOS 7 or higher

2) It would be nice to be able to use both my iPod and iPhone for inputting data and syncing but I don't see how I can do that unless there is an older version of Gas Cubby Free that I can install on the iPod.

Have others had this problem and if so I did you solve them.

Sorry you're having trouble.
Can you try the steps detailed here: Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X

If you try to download via the Purcahses in the app store on the iPod, you should see the noticed referenced in the link above to install the prior version. Please let me know.

RobertV, thanks for the information. I was able to install the latest compatible version on my iPod. And "almost" successfully synced the iPod and the new iPhone. After successfully synching the data I realized that I still had not entered data for the last transaction from my wife's vehicle into Gas Cubby (I already had entered it into a Spreadsheet on my computer). I then entered the data onto the iPod and for some reason that last entry doesn't seem to want to synch onto the iPhone. I can easily enter it manually but I will wait one day to see if it will sync.

Thanks for your help.

SUCCESS but I still have a question?

This morning I tried to sync again and again the last record was not synced to my iPhone,

BUT just now (4:29PM) I tried again and the last record was SUCCESSFULLY synced.

I assume one can only sync once a day, does anyone know if that is true or was the issue just temporary? Either way I am happy.

No restrictions on how many times you can sync. Might have just been a temporary bug or drop in internet/data/wi-fi signal.
