Too late to transition from Gas Cubby?

I was previously a Gas Cubby user. I purchased a new phone several years ago, but never re-installed Gas Cubby on the new phone. Now, I am ready to use the app again, but I am seeing that everything has transitioned to Fuelly. I'm excited to start using the new app, but is it too late for me to sync my data? I still have my old phone, but I am afraid to open the old app or do anything until I hear from the developers.
