iOS and or WebApp notifications

I've searched before posting.

It is my desire that when I create a reminder that the reminder sends me a notification. Thus far it has not. I'm willing to accept that I'm doing something wrong. I've created the reminders on both the web-app and the iOS app. Neither seem to send me notifications.

Where should the notifications go?

I have a valid email (confirmed by Fuelly), so I'd think they should show up there, but the app does not show them either.

Insight is appreciated.
