Older news, but worth mentioning...
This week, Kelley Blue Book reported finding the one singular item that increases a used-car's value more than any other option in History. What is it? The California HOV (1-Passenger) exemption sticker for Hybrids, which has been capped with no more being issued. A used Prius in CA goes for an average of 4-grand more than one without -- same for other Hybrid sedans. The sticker is tamper-proof.
NPR did the calcs and figured that if you make $20/hr. and you save 30 minutes of driving each way, then your investment is returned quickly.
Oddly, this premium isn't commanded in other parts of the Country with gridlock and HOV lanes...
