You need one for the MID, don't you? You must lose the VSS signal otherwise...

Yeah but doesn't the MID use the VSS signal from the ECU? When you shut off your engine doesn't the MID lose contact with the ECU for a second or two until you key back on? Or does your ECU have constant power as well?

My MID is wired directly to the VSS. Since I put the vss in there I got to do it however I pleased, so that's how it goes. Anyway, I think the ecu gets power with the engine off, it just semi-shuts down.

Ah, I see. You bypassed the VSS to ECU connection. Very nice.

No, that's there also, if not it throws a code if I use the brakes while in gear. Random, I know, but it exists.

But you put the MID in the middle of the loop, not on the ECU end, right?

I think I have 1 branch going to the mid, one to the cluster, and one to the ecu. The stock teg cluster had it set up with branches so I just added a branch.

Remove the steering wheel lock. I did this years ago for Honda-Challenge rules and I don't miss it at ALL. There have been plenty of times that I didn't have my keys on my, but wanted to push the car somewhere. =)
