I see there hasn't been much activity in the motorcycle section so I thought I'd post an update on my Lifan 200cc dual sport bike. The bike now has 16,500km and there have been no problems since my last post. It's running great and I use it often.
Since I've had a good experience with the Chinese made Lifan I bought a 250cc Hensim street bike a few weeks ago for $500.00. A 2008 model with 14km on the odometer, new condition. Turns out the engine is a copy of the Honda Rebel 250 and the rest of the bike is a copy of the Suzuki GZ250. It appears to be solidly built, it's smooth and quiet running, and comfortable to ride. It's no speed demon, power is similar to the Lifan 200. So far gas mileage has been between 70 and 80 mpg.
