Bring your bike! MPG Rally in Lacey, WA
The 2011 MPG Rally is coming May 7, 2011. It's in Lacey, WA.
Here is a link: http://www.ci.lacey.wa.us/city-gover...ve-energy-fair
This year I'm planning to actually "compete" and I'm riding my 200cc Chinese SuperMoto bike. The event is like a time/speed/distance rally where you have a defined amount of time to complete the 90 mile loop (easy). It contains rural highways, freeway and city segments. It's low key, fill-ups are done on the honor system (currently) and we all start and finish at about the same time. Good fun and you get to meet other gassavers, talk with the public about your MPG accomplishments, swap stories, look at mods, see other renewable energy systems at the fair and eat gut-bomb fair food for lunch. Because bikes don't have credible EPA ratings if at all, we'll all be ranked against each other.
Consider making the trip and start this riding season off right!
Questions? PM me or better yet ask questions on this thread so all can see.

I posted this post here as opposed to the Real Life Get Together section as it is directed towards motorcycles. Oh, cars and trucks are encouraged also, but this year I'd like to see at least a few bikes.

Maybe someone can get a good look at the tire that has 40,000 miles on your Concours.
Personally, I don't believe your claim.

I also have over 40,000 miles on a Dunlop K177 on my Concours, not a car tire.

That's fine, you don't have to beleive it. I know it's true.
I keep the bike light, ride slow, rarely go over 4,000 rpm and use the front brake alot. Wanna buy a lightly used 212,000 mile Concours with an excellent maintenance history? I want the new CBR250R.

None of us "have" to do anything, many people "know" the earth is flat just a hundred years ago, but that don't make it true.
Seems to me, you've hardly ridden at all if that's the only way you ride.. might just as well ride on a treadmill..
"Use the front brake alot"? so have you worn out your front tire more often than rear?
Why haul all that weight of a Concours?
Something lighter with better fuel econ would suit your riding style just fine, no?
