Bought a bike

Just wanted to share pics of my new bike for anyone who cares
Got it 4/19/07
it is a 2003 Kawasaki z1000

As far as the gas mileage goes.
I am getting about 36mpg so far. with lots of city driving.
It is a naked bike so it is nowhere near aerodynamic.

Insurance is dirt cheap because it isn't considered a sports bike.
The seating position is far more comfortable than any bike i have ridden.

I plan to change out the exhaust. Not a huge fan of the 4 mufflers. All i see is weight when i look back there.
And i may completely black it out but i have not fully decided

check on rear sprocket size, I wouldn't be suprized if someone swaped them out to a larger one for faster acceleration/lower top speed, I'm not sure how small of sprockets were made for those, most likely nothing very drastic, but you also might be able to find a tooth larger for the front.
check for stock exaust on Ebay, with it being practicaly new, the stock set up could still be in good shape, and those stock parts become commen, and cheap.

From the pics it looks like spring has sprung. What a perfect way to bring it in. Nice ride.

Aw that's just no good. You need a grille block, wheel fairings, an undertray. You've got some work to do . . :P

Very nice. I can't believe that it isn't considered a sport bike.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I could not be happier with this bike.

The bike is actually pretty heavy, like 430lbs or so. It does not have an aluminum frame.
I want to lighten it up a little bit. Which will mainly come through putting a different exhaust on it. Sorry clencher. I will most likely go with a 4-2-1 single side design. From what i have read the full titanium exhaust weighs in around 7lbs for the whole header back.
Like this one here....

What is really sad is how this bike weighs 1500lbs less than my car and has probably 50 more horsepower.
