you have one for sale?

Not necessarily old, heck VX's only came a year after the CRX's stopped being sold. I have a 1991 CRX HF that consitantly gets me 40+mpg around town and when I do get to stretch its legs on the open highway it still gets 50mpg. Anyway I'll send you a PM.

So, they are still around and definitely worth the money.
It was me who bought the really nice VX. I flew from Florida to Washington DC to get it. Just got back from the trip...flawless the entire way. I am going to make a new thread and tell about the car and the trip.

I looked for over 6 months for this car...And got screwed out of a bunch of other VX's that were nice but no where near as low miles, and very few are one owner cars with every record since ownership...

My car is a time capsule...Rare to say the least.

I'm reactivating this thread.
I've been considering what I'd want to get when I can't drive the Volvo any longer. Civic HX looks like it might be the way to go if spending $3-5K.

Going only by the EPA mpg numbers, the HX should be a great car for FE. Any comments from people who have owned them?

Currently getting +/- 50 mpg in fall weather. EPA is 31/39 so not too shabby. WAI, fuel cutoff switch, full belly pan, smooth wheel covers.

Now driving '97 Civic HX; tires ~ 50 psi. '89 Volvo 240 = semi-retired.

good luck in getting a Insight for under $8K. All the ones I ever see used here in Cali. get $11K++ , more like $12-14K average.

I had a 99 HX and it was a great car. The combined gas mileage I was getting was in the mid 40s. That was before I was into FE. If I would have kept that car, I wouldn't be looking for a VX like I am now. I traded it in and got a RSX Type S which I no longer have now. I should have kept the HX.
