Car review: 2004 Toyota Solara SE 2.4L auto
Acceleration: Sufficient for such a large vehicle, merges and passes cars just fine on the highway.
EDIT: Fuel Economy: Pretty good for a car its size, my worst calculated mpg was 21.2 (heavy stop and go) and the best currently is 39.32 mpg (mostly highway, using little AC and not going more than 70 mph).
On mostly highway conditions, even using the AC and going 75-85 mph, the car gets about 26-28 mpg.
In the city, if I go easy while using the AC often, the car gets about 25-27mpg.
Handling: Out of the box, the car has significant amounts of body roll and understeer. I improved it quite a bit by installing a TRD front strut tower bar and a TRD rear sway bar.
Transmission: The 4 speed automatic transmission is very smooth but it doesn't downshift that fast unlike the five speed automatic transmission in my family's 2003 Accord V6.
