Really nice comfortable ride.
Little road noise in cabin.
Love the dash layout on this car.
Steering wheel controls for cruise etc nicely placed and easy to use.
Comfortable seats.
Excellent steering wheel to adjust exactly how you want it.
Large trunk.
Con's:
Cost more than a comparable Civic.
Armrest too small.
If your over 6 feet even with adjusting he seat you may find the head clearance room not the best.
Steering feels stiff and no easy to turn as the Civic.
Doesn't have the same pickup and pep as the Civic.
Overall its actually a nice car but the Civic handles and steers better.
Also to add, parts are easy to come by and dressing it up is much easier with the civic. A simple wheel change/upgrade will surely give extra appeal into it.
I am 6'4" tall and just fit into the current Civic whereas in the new Corolla there is much more space and I don't have to have the seat laid back to fit.
Gotta say, I hadn't been a fan of Toyota stying for the past 15 years or so, but I like a lot of their new models. Maybe their partnership with Subaru on the BRZ/FRS influenced them.
Ditto that, they went through a very bland stage and focused on economy and emissions more than styling. Starting to get a bit more attitude now, I like the new Aygo, although you guys probably dont get it in the US?
I haven't seen it advertised yet, but we get many models here that the US doesn't so we can hope. Canadians tend to buy more hatchbacks and wagons than their American cousins do.
I is a happy camper with my 2014 Corolla LE.
I'm a truck driver. After getting out of that truck. I want a nice riding car. I'm as happy as can be with the ride on mine. It seems I have a great compromise on comfort and economy. It's definitely an adequate (righteous) car.
Consumer Reports said the interior is cheap. I like my interior. I'm glad Toyota didn't waste money on false appearance of quality on the interior. While they did spend that money where it's more important.
Japanese cars are similar inside to French I find. They do the job just fine, but perhaps use cheaper plastics and aren't as well built as something German for example. It matters not to me, nobody drives along gently massaging thier dashboard do they? I'd rather them save money where they can and pass that saving on to the customer.
